Ebiris

Anastasia

Down this passage and around another bend. It stops in a drop, a chasm plunging deeper in. The sides are lined with sharp, jagged crystals, growing out several feet in lattice-works of pale white, almost salt colored crystal.
<Afina> Imagine a tiny pixie boot stamping on a devil's face.
<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Ebiris

"I'm reminded of Seira's misadventures on Salt with that dragon," Alicia notes, peering down the chasm. Seeing no better options she starts flying down it as well.

Anastasia

There's space, but it's tight.

"I mentioned Tor Salinus a few years ago in passing to her," Syala remarks as you all go down, as Syala takes up the rear, "It still infuriates her."
<Afina> Imagine a tiny pixie boot stamping on a devil's face.
<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Ebiris

Alicia shrinks herself down to normal size so she can better fit. "It's an open wound, she's never gotten closure."

Anastasia

As you fly down, your keen eyes notice the crystals are suddenly starting to grow, little barbs and hooks reaching out for all three of you.
<Afina> Imagine a tiny pixie boot stamping on a devil's face.
<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Ebiris

"Lets hurry things up," Alicia says, a beam of spellfire down one side shearing off those grown hooks to give them a bit more breathing room on the way down.

Anastasia

Give me damage? It matters mechanically here.

[18:00] <@Ebiris> roll 40d10
[18:00] <Penuche> Ebiris invokes Penuche's magic: < 189 > [40d10=189]

DC 47 ref half.

Anastasia

They're unable to take Ref saves so full.

You shear away one side as Antenora calls, "Down!" For the other sides are reaching out, new barbs and blades forming as they try and get the three of you.

Ref saves. Antenora and Alicia autopass the save, so only Syala here.

> roll 1d20+46 Syala
<Penuche> Kotono invokes Penuche's magic: < 54 > [d20=8]

Evasion doesn't matter here, but she made the save.

Down the three of you go, down further. The crystal thins out ahead, the party safe.

"Some sort of living crystal?" Antenora speculates as you three continue down. "Perhaps something animated by the blood of Jormugandr?"

"Something that seeks out the blood of others anyway," Alicia says once they're past, continuing to go deeper.

Anastasia

You head further down and to the bottom. Here a pool of ice-choked waters awaits you. Cold is heavy in the air as you look about. There's smaller burrow tunnels here - one to the east and one to the southwest.

Also, on one of the bigger ice floes sits a rough, crude hut of stone.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Ebiris

"If Jormungandr doesn't let anyone else here, other than the children that spawn, what's that for?" Alicia asks curiously, pointing at the hut.

Anastasia

"It doesn't make sense," Antenora agrees, "Unless one of the Children built it?"

"Why would a snake make a hut?" Syala says, "Giant snakes don't need houses." Frowning even more, "You're right, it makes no sense, nor does a trap."

Ebiris

"Well, we just have to investigate." She goes down to land on the ice floe.

Any magic? Anything felt with tremorsense?
