"Grandfather Time." Moore says. "It's been a while. I did not realize this was... ah, well, I suppose your business is mostly that which I wouldn't know about."

A smile after that, as well as a bow in deference.

Anastasia

"One of us will be seeing you soon," Grandfather Time says, "You have responsibilities, one of them is to learn the basics of chronomancy, so that you can counter it should you come on it. However, that is not why I am here."

<Afina> Forever.

<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

"Of course." Moore says, as if he's ready to accept whatever challenge that's to be laid out.

Anastasia

"I didn't think you'd get past her," Grandfather Time remarks, "At least not yet. She gave you a quest?"

Nephrite

"Yes. I had some help." Moore says. "It isn't one that I can complete today, but it is one that I intend to see through."

Anastasia

"I suggest you go to try," Grandfather Time's voice is kindly, but holds a note of steel. "I know not why she yielded to you, but it will not do to advance forward without that done."

"We have reas-" Xandra begins.

"You do. You have time as well. Time is time is time, and there is time yet," Grandfather Time interrupts.

Moore takes in a breath. "I understand your intent, Grandfather." Moore says. "We press on because the need for what is here is not one that we can be idle about. I imagine that you know exactly why it is that we are here, as I imagine you may have been here when it was placed. So with that in mind, I would ask that you allow us to continue, for the good and for the hope of Creation itself."

Anastasia

"No." Grandfather Time's voice is gentle but firm as the mountains and just as unyielding. "Go and see to your task."

"Do I have your word that, when the task is completed, we will have no one else stop us for any reason for what we seek here?" Moore asks.

Anastasia

"As far as I am able," Grandfather Time agrees.

Nephrite

"Very well. May we return here when that is completed?" Moore asks again.

Anastasia

"You may," Is the answer, simple and to the point.

Nephrite

"Very well." Moore says.

I don't think it's worth it to press this any further. We know what we must do and we can likely call in the aid of the others for it.

Anastasia

It seems there are a difference of opinions about this amid the Arch Angels.

But I agree, we cannot face them in battle and hope to succeed on our quest, as well as avoid the possible intervention of higher powers.

"We will return when the time is right, Grandfather." Moore says.

He will return them all to Hope's Landing after that, and let out a breath.

"Honestly... I didn't expect to meet as much resistance with all of them." He says. "I wonder if the High One is who called Grandfather Time?"
