Acid resistance applies, at least.

Pain blossoms on your knee as acid lands right on it, sizzling away. Less than it should at least as you grit your teeth, as you get a look at it. It's like an oversized beetle, save with metal shell and girding supporting it, mouth dripping green acid.

Alyssa lets the acid splash off of her as she chants a quick spell before she darts forward to slam her fist into the thing!

1st up: Knowledge Devotion,  +5 to atk/dam

Besides IRC comment, the skill trick is a standard action. How are you punching it if you used up your standard action?

Is it? It was little ambiguous since it said "your next attack against that opponent (which must be made no later than your next turn)" but I guess that's just me. Just ignore the punch then.

Yeah, it says as a standard action at the beginning of it.

The flash of light hits the predator, a shrill cry as it is blinded. It begins to retreat down and away, slipping away as Dolmaya says, "Wait for it..."

Go, it's not immediately coming back out.
