Nephrite

Anastasia

The curtain does not open as the glass jar smoothly rises up, freeing the three of you.

Jetina sighs in soft relief while Sylvie merely looks about.
<Afina> Imagine a tiny pixie boot stamping on a devil's face.
<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

We've come in search of someone named CRIMSON who we believe is in this gallery. He may be a literal part of the gallery at this point. Do you know of them?

Moore will try and move the curtain out of the way so they can get a better view of what's going on with his divine will!

If it feels like it's something that Renbuu is going to oppose Moore isn't going to try and anger him, so if the curtain doesn't move he will stop trying.

Anastasia

The curtain does not move and Moore doesn't push it. Instead Renbuu is heard, "Now...Food is ART!" he declares, as you hear the sounds of devouring, of eating, of consuming.

Before you a door appears from nothing, as if inviting you.
<Afina> Imagine a tiny pixie boot stamping on a devil's face.
<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

"It's rude to not accept the hospitality of your hosts, I suppose." Moore says.

Moore will open the door and go through.

Anastasia

Thus all of you go out. Ahead is another glass jar in a large viewing room. Fields of semi visible force surround it, like layered walls of force. Within the jar is roiling, boiling red light, a deep shade of crimson.
<Afina> Imagine a tiny pixie boot stamping on a devil's face.
<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

"Well, that's interesting." Moore says. "Are you CRIMSON? Can you understand me?"

He knows he probably won't get much of a response, but...

118 for K:P or any other relevant knowledge checks here... what in the world is this, some sort of spirit?

It seems to be raw energies that stay together instead of dissolve apart. Energies of battle, energies of war - inherently chaotic energies, you believe. There's some others in there you'd suspect, but you'd need to study it a bit more - but you suspect one of them is a magical item, all told.

It speaks in madness and yet you can understand.

"Hungry eat CRIMSON?"

"A mass of energies that defy the normal tendencies for energies to fade and break apart, especially energies that have no reason to be combined," Sylvie remarks. "Pretty sure our gear's energy is mixed up in it, somewhere."

"Which means we probably kill it if we remove them." Moore says. "I think I know what caused this -- there was an elemental that the efreet unleashed on Ysgard -- had some sort of... I don't know what it was, it was a crystal ball that basically was a bag of holding, except... not quite. Anyway... it might be that this is something similar, or... somehow related." Moore says. "It's... speaking, but I don't know how."

He takes a step forward. "No eat. Help. Hope."

Anastasia

Jetina looks on, utterly lost. "Can...can I heal it?"

Sylvie nods along, "Probably unrelated would be my guess, but maybe some of the same ideas. Coincidences happen." She's quiet a few more moments, "You're right, let's see if Renbuu can be persuaded to let it go."

The CRIMSON is silent before...

"CRIMSON hungry trust." Is the answer, after a pause.

"Might be a slaad the way it talks," Sylvie says thoughtfully, "Tell us, what do you want to eat?"

"...It talks?" Jetina asks faintly.

"It seems like we can only understand it because of our nature." Moore says to Jetina.  "It seems to speak in some sort of madness, but It isn't a slaad, my spell confirmed that when I asked about it." He adds.

Renbuu, what can we offer for this piece of art?
