'Well, that's not great...'

Alyssa inspects it, trying to identify what could have made it.

Some sort of giant bird? But the size of it isn't quite right. Strange indeed. A harpy would be your guess, or some other similar creature. Perhaps some varieties of sirens.

[Iron Dragoon]

Alyssa returns back to Dolmaya to tell her about the tracks and her suspicions of harpies and siren type creatures.

[Anastasia]

"Unusual but hardly that much of a threat to us," Dolmaya responds quietly. "Keep your eyes open and use force if you need to."

[Iron Dragoon]

Alyssa nods, "Just keep in mind, everything we've run into so far has been ambush predators. Let's not get caught out by a group of birds."

Alyssa heads in, keeping closer to Dolmaya and helping her pick her way through.

[Anastasia]

Run me down your array of senses, would you?

[Iron Dragoon]

Darkvision 60ft, Prying Eyes spell is all. I lost all of those special things and haven't had time/chance to redo perm. spells.

[Anastasia]

You go ahead a time - and it opens up to a large chamber with a high ceiling -about 70ft high. On a glance up, your sharp eyes and darkvision are enough to note the hints of something moving up in those depths. Meanwhile, at ground level, it's a fairly large chamber, space on both sides as it meanders onward. A single pool of standing water is here, occasionally rippling as a droplet from above falls down.

Alyssa silently points out the movement to Dolmaya, then tries to send one of the Eyes up as stealthily as possible to survey what's up there.

[Anastasia]

You do so and Dolmaya nods back slightly.

Going up, you can see something moving up there. A half bird, half woman, the lower half a bird's legs and the upper half a gorgeous woman. Her arms are wings and she smoothly flies about, peering carefully down below at the two of you.

[Iron Dragoon]

Do the eyes spot anything else or just the one?

[Anastasia]

Just that one.

[Iron Dragoon]

Alyssa whispers to Dolmaya, "Just the one from what I can tell, but I'm pretty sure she sees us. Diplomacy first?"
