Clunk. The canopy supports you without the slightest give. The sky is locked in evening's twilight above as Jarem looks up. "We're good here. Let's fly just a bit haead and go back down, before we lose that path."

"Jarem's right," Bastian agrees, "We may have to go back depending on the path, but this might work."

Alyssa nods,  "Yes. We don't know what kind of trial is going to be waiting for us, so I want to save as much of our strength as we can. Fighting these animals gets us nowhere, so let's do what we can to avoid it."

With some skill you come down past it, Bastian looking about. "Yeah, this way, before they figure it out," he says, hurrying along.

Alyssa hangs back a bit while Bastian leads to help pick out good paths and positions for the less stealthy members of the group until they clear the area.

Thus on you go. Deeper. As you do, the twilight ceases to filter down. It is now the dark of night, dark and cool and quiet as you walk this path.

"Made it," Bastian says, "This is the lowest layer and where all the strongest monsters stay, especially night hunters." He glances about, "Keep your guard up, some of them can sneak up on anyone."

"I doubt they'll challenge us unless we find one of the greatest of them," Jessica says, "But I've heard stories about the strongest ones being formidable."

Alyssa nods, "I think one of us should stick to the shadows and one with the group. Opinion?"

[Anastasia]

Jessica smiles, "I am the shadow that not even Shar can control," she declares, before she slips away.

"Then I'll stay with the group," Bastian says, not missing a beat.
