"...What the?" Moore blinks, then he looks over at Xandra, as if she'll have the answer.

"I see him coming back here and then just dissolving into the drool. I don't think he just ran into it to die, though." He explains to the others.

Xandra shakes her head, "He didn't die - he joined it." she says at last, "Like he's a part of this creature."

[Nephrite]

"Does that mean if we kill it, he dies too?" Moore asks. "Hm... or maybe he simply gets released in some capacity?"

[Anastasia]

"Maybe," Xandra is silent a time longer, "...No, he would die," Xandra says after more thought. "I see that his awakening was an accident, an unintended side effect. A fluke."

"So we're facing some bad luck, or the reason why the ritual to restore it failed?" Jetina ventures, "Do you think he took offense and interrupted it?"
