It is just a few hours before...

I had to work off some of my debt, but I got what we needed. He's hiding there, but he's also under confinement by Waukeen's orders.

Any chance of a meeting?

Yes, we'll both owe Waukeen a favor.

[Iron Dragoon]

I don't think that will be anything too onerous, unless you think otherwise?

[Anastasia]

Nothing dangerous, but it might be expensive.

[Iron Dragoon]

Well, I don't mind owing a favor. Try to haggle down the price cap, though. That'll at least entertain her and put her in a good mood.

Ouch. In any case, set the meeting up.

Any prep for this?

I don't believe anything outside of my normal stuff will be needed. Though I'll probably pop spell turning before investigating incase whatever magic is on him lashes out.

He's held in a basement of all places. The building above is a general indoor bazaar, goods of all kinds sold. Emily leads you along to a side door there, two armored guards there - but they step aside at Emily's approach. "Keep going down as far as you can, ma'am," One says.

Emily nods and keeps going, not slowing a bit. Past all of this is stairs...and more stairs. You walk down what must be a dozen stories if not more, until you come to the flat bottom. Here a man of adamantine stands, forged completely of it. Heavier armor covers him yet further, and he carries a massive warhammer in one hand and the other has a tower shield at the ready. A dozen golden coins fly around his head like ioun stones, leaving glitters of gold in their wake.

"Divine ones," The figure says, "You may enter by Waukeen's command."

[Iron Dragoon]

"Thank you."

To Emily, Impressive security. Remind me we need to do something similar.

I'm more surprised that Waukeen didn't relocate him. Letting us see these protections was less important than keeping him safe.

Give yourself some credit. She's your aunt, and I doubt she mistrusts you. The only reason I'm here is because of you. And don't think for a minute that this is every layer of security. I'll be for every thing we've seen, there are five we haven't.
