O'karn grunted in extreme displeasure as he dumped the wolf he'd been carrying a little inside the stable.  He'd come back for it later tonight to carve it into food.  Crouching, he barely managed to get through the puny human doorway without breaking the damn thing.  Standing back up, his head brushed against the ceiling as his eyebrow twitched in annoyance under his mask.  He didn't like it here at all.  The whole place felt confining and claustrophobic to him.  Looking around after steping in, he was obviously antsy, head shifting this way and that.  Crouching to get under the next of the puny human doorways, O'karn stepped into the main room with the others and the human mage.

Arkanel nodded to the little lady and turned.  Going through the door, they entered a hallway that extended to their right and left.   He led them to the right.  Moving to the end of the hallway, there was a door in front of them, and one to the left.  He led them through the door to the left, an impressively sized,(30 by 15) room.

A table, covered in a fine finish was in the center of the room.  It appeared large enough to accomodate the 30 chairs that surrounded it.  The chairs had high backs and and cushioned.  The two end chairs had arm rests, also cushioined, though none of hte others did.  Small tray stands stood in each corner, currently empty.  No other furnishings were there.

The room contained 3 other doors, two on the left wall, one across from where they entered.

"If you'll all have a seat, I'll ask Clara to bring you all some food.  She should have prepared some for our return here."

He bowed, and went to a door on the far left side of the room.

Arael looked around the room, the size not leaving her feeling impressed at all. Had it been made of diamonds, rubies, silver, and gold it would have had the same effect. The journey was not beginning on the best of conditions. Already one of their party had fallen to something as simple as wolves, and with the disaster the magic situation was turning out to be the future was looking grim indeed. How could the mage have been so incompetent as to not warn them about that 'little' fact? She tried, and failed miserably, to ignore the voice claiming she hadn't asked herself.

Now inside the house she removed the white robes the mage had given her. Sitting at the table, she began inspecting the garment for damage. She doubted she'd find anything, however, as she hadn't born the brunt of the earlier attack. Her companions...

What were their names again? Belatedly realizing no one besides herself had identified themselves she turned to those who would be her companions for the foreseeable future.
Turning to the Chinese clad girl she spoke.

"Um, I don't think I caught your name, miss...?"

Corwin

"I'm Miaka Yuki, the Priestess of Suzaku!" the teenager replied cheerfully. Seeing the other girl take off her robe, she briefly contemplated doing the same, only to leave it on as a makeshift apron until lunch was over.

Smiling back at the girl the white-clothed replied, "I am Arael Saber, Shepherd of Zeal."

A priestess, how nice. ^_^

Arkanel left the room and quickly returned accompanied by a young girl carrying a tray containing a picture and 5 goblets.  They were of simple design, metallic in appearance, and could hold about 8 ounces.

He sat at the head of the table, away from the door they had entered through as the woman placed a glass in front of each, pouring it with the red colored liquid.

"Thank you, Clara," he said.

She bowed leaving the room while Arkanel picked up his glass and drank from it.

"I thought we could all use a nice drink while we waited for the afternoon meal."

OOC:

Arael found her robe in perfect order
The GM wonders why Arael would call the wolves intelligent.
O'karn could fit on a chair, it had a high back and no armrests, but barely.

Arael looked at the red liquid for a moment.

"Um, might I have some water instead?"

Priss

Nirae cursed internally at the pain that flared up from the bites.

She could dimly hear Rackham's heavy foot falls through the pain.

"A little help would be nice!" She shouted through the pain, even as she lashed out with her free leg to hit the head, preferably the eyes and sensitive muzzle, of the wolf snarling over her calf.

Araknel smilled at the woman, and picked up a small bell that was situated in front of him.  "I'll have Clara bring you in some.  Anyone else?"

He rang the bell, which gave of a loud melodic twinkle.

O'karn followed along, stepping into the room after the others, still feeling anxious in the small corridor.  Looking around as he entered the dinning room, he sniffed at the fragile extravagance.  He glanced over the doors, keeping an eye out for other ways out of this tiny domicile.

Pulling off his mask, he finally revealed his yellow skinned and rough face to the others.  His slightly enlarged canines and rough teeth gave him a bestial look.  Putting the mask away in his pouch he moved over to the table, sitting down in one of the open chairs after glaring at it for a moment and mumbling under his breath.  Sitting down he looked distastefully at the small glass, rudely sniffing at it and ignoring the human mages slave.  Picking it up he took a sip before tossing it down distastefully, growling "Foul elf piss.  Don't you have something with a bit of bite, mage?"

O'karn's opinion of the mage dropped further: scrawny, human, weak servants, and even serves elf piss.  Nothing compared to the clerics of Syfier.  Why in the world had he come out here when he could be enjoying the blood of battle upon the mountains of his fathers.

Nirae kicked at the wolf at her feet, scoring hits, but failing to dislodge the beast.  Her right arm was freed as she felt the wolf remove flesh and clothing from her.  And then the wolf at her left yelped, releasing her from its grasp.

Rackham let fly his weapon, tagging the wolf in the ribs.  His blade sunk in, causing the wolf to squeal and release its hold of Nirae.  As he entered the melee area, caught a glimpse of the thrown animal also returning to the fray.

Arkanel falshed with annoyance, before schooling his features and looking at O'karn, who still towered over him while seated.

"I have some gin and brandy, if you would like one of those?"

Clara walked into the room as he spoke.

"Acceptable," O'karn grunted.

"Clara.  I think some of our guests would prefer water and brandy.  Oh, and I think our friend," he nodded to O'karn, "would take his brandy with a goblet."

"As you wish."  Her voice was soft and humble as she nodded and left the room.

Figment

Following the others into the house and through the hallways, Devon took a seat at the large table.  Pulling down the cloth covering his face and taking off his sunglasses, he revealed green eyes and fine-boned, almost delicate features.

Taking a sip from the goblet in front of him, he gave Arael a sidelong glance, "My name is Devon."
