Saviours, the game!

Hitomi blinked.

"His hearts always in the right place, but I think his mind is slipping a bit.   But anyway, if you just met uo with these others... 5 you said, why are they making the journey.  I mean a mere pilgrimage wouldn't call Arkanel out to pick them up?"

"The others were already with him when he found me," Arael replied. "Miaka said she was going for her religion and I didn't really get to know the others that well. We weren't together that long, you know? I don't really know why they were all out there, or Mr. Arkanel for that mater. This is the first time I've ever done something like this."

[kpjam]

"Well, that's a shame.  I was--" Hitomi stopped speaking and looked past Arael on the couch, her eyes widened.

Something bit into Arael's neck and Hitomi stood and moved away. "Lafiel!" she cried.

Arael jumped from the couch at the grabbing for her neck with one hand and he mace with another while turning to face her attacker. Her fingers closed around the dart and quickly pulled it out, applying pressure to the wound.

Arael's hand pulled out a long slender dart, as she landed heavily on the table, knocking over the decantor and glasses.

Arael was already feeling lightheaded as she saw Lafiel standing in the doorway, a small wooden tube was held in her left hand, placed at her lips.  While a similar tube fell to the ground at her side.

Someone grasped her arm while Lafiel shot another dart at the Arael's chest.

Arael threw her weight to the left, sliding off the table in a desperate attempt to dodge the incoming projectile. Acting on instinct she tried to detoxify herself, knowing both the effects using magic had here and knowing that there was little choice but to fight through it. She had partially succeeded with her charm ability earlier and was hoping that something instantaneous would work fast enough to take effect.

The dart caught Arael in the arm, as she fell off the table.  She felt her stomach cramp as she tried to detoxify herself.

Her breath left her as Hitomi fell heavily ontop of her.  She sat stunned as her mind became vacant and Hitomi stood.

"Damn liar," Lafiel said, disdainfully.  The last words Arael heard before blackness took her.

[Carthrat]

"Ahh, Iron'll do, if ye canna get steel soon. Ah'm sure I'll manage. So, Ah'll pick it up tomorrow?"

Daggedal nods to himself..

[kpjam]

"Tommorrow will be fine.  That'll be 100 gelders upon delivery."

[Carthrat]

"Ah see."

Daggedal makes a mental note to either steal some cash or trade in his rubies.

[kpjam]

The boy, who led Daggedal to the smith, squeaked, "Can we go back now?  I need some sleep."

[Priss]

"O' COURSE I dinna get any jewels since, as you'll note, I'm unaware of what you're talking about, Rackham!" Nirae scowled, all at once missing the 'simple' life aboard the Dragon's Wing.

"Ah... to be lashing the Cabin Brat again..." she sighed wistfully...

Rackham stared at Nirae some more.  "The gems were part of our payment and you missed them?!"

He started scraping the hides faster.  "As soon as I am done, we are going back and getting them.  There isn't any telling how much they are worth, but they are sure to feed the crew for a couple of months, maybe more."

"Oh, and as soon as you rested as well."

[Priss]

Nirae paused and stared at Rackham.

"Gems? How do we know they won't just spill to simple glass baubles back home?" she sighed. "Never mind, if you wish them, we'll go back for them."

Nirae then stretched, testing her body, trying to gauge just how much longer she'd have to wait before they could go on.

[Carthrat]

"Aye, lad. 'ell, I'll see that you're paid tomorrow."

Daggedal thinks for a moment.

"'ye got any, er, interesting trinket-markets around 'ere, lad? Turn up all kinds of stuff.."
