Daggedal scoffs down food like it's going out of fashion, occasionally punctuating his meal with questions..

"*munch*so, 'ow*chew* far is it ta Came*swallow*lot?"
[19:14] <Annerose> Aww, mouth not outpacing brain after all?

Nirae saw majestic mountains to the north, the setting sun creating a sight to take ones breath away.  Rolling plains were all she could see in other directions, along with a few smatters of dried blood and skinned wolves around.

Rackham snapped out of his daze, and jumped to his feet.  "Good!"
He started looking around, making sure he wasn't leaving anything important behind.  Rackham then tried to decipher the direction they came in.

Rackham and Nirae get no breaks...

Why, oh why wasn't I born rich?

Rakham could swear they came from the south.

As Remdos and Daggedal enjoyed there breakfast, Arkanel answered, "A few miles to the west."

Rackham turned to Nirae, "I think we came from the south, lets go."

He then started walking in a southernly direction, looking for the trail he must have made when running afer Nirae, he hadn't been trying to be stealthy at all.

"By the way, do you have any cord?  I would like to make a...necklace..."

The adventuring party finished their meal and gathered their things, swiftly moving out towards Camelot.  Arkanel was left to instruct the party members who hadn't shown up to follow along as best they could.  Traveling to about a mile away from Camelot according to their map, O'karn paused, turning to survey those that he had to work with.  "Someone needs to scout out the castle," he grunted.

The adventurer's found themselves in sparse forest.

Remdos had enjoyed the meal earlier, and even if they'd quickly left on their journey, he'd at least remembered to take some extras with him. He did wish he'd done more than fill up his canteens with water and taken an apple though. Oh well, best to travel somewhat light, and he could always go hunting for more food, he supposed.

In the meantime, he'd best be keeping his eyes out for good sturdy trees he could climb around here while someone else considered taking up the giant's request. Forests were, after all, an excellent place to attack...and be attacked.

Glancing around, Remdos noticed there were some choice climbing trees.  Sturdy branches beconed, although, he also noticed most of the good climbing trees were pretty spread out.

Nirae and Rackham started to walk.  They were unable to find any real traces of their earlier passing.  The time and occasional wind had already raised the grass back up, covering up those blades that had been broken by their passing.

Undeterred, they continued forward until they say the raised stone they had been called to this world upon.

"I did a bit of scouting last night," Devon crouched down and cleared a patch of ground before pulling a dagger from his boot to illustrate his descriptions.

"About a mile west of here there's a long wall, it's about thirty feet high and stretches across the valley, close to thirty-two hundred feet, from one cliff face to another.  In front of the wall there's a moat, looked to be about thirty feet wide.  Arkanel said that these were a peaceful people, but someone in there knows what he's doing.  They've cleared the trees and brush out to three hundred yards from the wall.  In the center of the wall there's a large drawbridge.  On either side of the gate, on top of the wall, there's a sentry post and another sentry post every seventy-five feet for the full length of the wall.  I don't know how many sentries they'll have on duty during the day, but the night shift consisted of two sentries at each post.  The sentries themselves didn't seem to be extremely alert, but the shear number of them as well as the distance between the wall and any sort of cover makes attempting to scale the wall at night difficult to say the least.   There is a storm grate not too far from here that leads into the drainage pipe connected to Camelot's sewer system.  The pipe itself is a bit small but there isn't much water flowing through it, so it is passable.  The pipe runs west from the river and under the wall until it opens up a bit into a larger chamber that is connected to what I believe is the basement of the castle."

Remdos blinked as that one fellow spoke. When he finished, he simply could not resist asking, "You have a very good lung capacity, don't you? Man, what a mouthful!"

He tried to decipher through all of it though, even if he wasn't used to hearing so much information without pause. Thankfully the guy had drawn a crude map in the ground to help them decipher his comments. He took his eyes from his tree search and began to take in the map's layout.

"Believe?"  O'karn grunted, "You did not check further?"

"There is a small room with a pair of grates covered by hatches that lead down into the sewer," Devon pointed at a spot on the crude map he'd drawn.

"Two doors lead out of the room, this one here is a broom closet, while this one I assume leads to the rest of the castle. Whoever set the watch at night believes in overkill, I counted three guards immediately on the other side of the door, and there was at least one more nearby," Devon gestured with the dagger.

"I didn't have the means to slip past them undetected," he finished with a shrug.
