Cephiro, Elven Province

[Corwin]

"Damn!" she curses, breaking off the pursuit and signaling the samurai following her to do so as well. "He's too fast. Our next priority should be to help Fuu escape." She thinks for a brief moment. "Meet Hikaru and the rest at our camp, and tell them to head back as soon as everyone else gets there. I'll get Koshi and Hikaru back, and join you later."

With that, Umi heads back towards where she'd left a samurai to wait for Fuu, keeping an eye out for anyone, be they human or elf.

[Carthrat]

The Samurai shakes his head, oblivious to the spell. "I am Hideo Shikuwara! Your time has come!" he announces, rushing and slashing open Fuu's chest with a powerful blow.

[Ebiris]

"Perhaps another time, Shikuwara-san," Fuu grimaces through the pain as she pulls an invisibility potion from inside her gi and swiftly downs it.

[Carthrat]

Shikuwara tries to stab at Fuu again, but is presently stopped by two things; firstly, her sudden dissapearance, and secondly, an arrow that promptly lodges itself in his head.

Umi manages to reach the samurai she left to wait for Fuu, who just fires a bow as she gets there. Umi can't see Fuu from her position.

"She was just there," whispers the samurai. "But she vanished."

Hikaru makes it back to the camp, which the samurai quickly set about breaking..

[Ebiris]

Fuu blinks at the fallen Samurai, wishing she hadn't wasted her only invisibility potion now. Seeing a clear path, she leaps over the ditch and makes a beeline for where she had left her companions, running full out under the cover of invisibility.

[Corwin]

Umi glances at the samurai. "Vanished? Was she taken away?"

[Carthrat]

Fuu easily makes it back to the lone samurai waiting for her, who hears her footsteps, as does Umi.

"Fuu-chan?" the samurai asks empty air, hand straying to his blade..

[Ebiris]

"Here," Fuu says, willing the invisibility effect to end. "I have aquirred the Matsu battle plans as well as some other documents that might prove useful. We should make haste to the capital at once so that Sakura-sama may recieve this information."

[Corwin]

"It's that bad?" Umi asks, grimacing. "Alright." Looking around, she asks, "Where's Koshi?"

[Ebiris]

Fuu looks around worriedly, "He was with me until I entered the Champion's tent, and warned me when it was time to leave... I never saw him after I left, so I assumed he had already made his way out..."

[Corwin]

Umi frowns. "Okay. Fuu, take Taishi back to our camp, and tell him what you found out.  Then," she says, turning towards the samurai, "please report to Master Toshi, and also tell him that we'll be making our way to Sakura-san post-haste." She pauses briefly. "I'll wait here for Koshi for a couple of minutes, before bringing up the rear."

[Ebiris]

Fuu nods, as she starts walk with Taishi, gesturing for him to wait a moment as she spontaneously casts Cure Moderate Wounds on herself, sacrificing the Remove Paralysis spell she had memorised in preperation for dealing with those wands...

That done, she tells Taishi of what occured. "I detected a powerful evil spellcaster within the Champion's tent after Otoshi had left. I suspect she is a part of whatever is instigating the Matsu against us. Luckily she was somewhat distracted by her previous activities with the Champion, and I was able to incapacitate her and steal the Matsu battle plans, as well as another strange document," Fuu makes a mental note to use a spell to read that document once they are safely away from the camp, "I also took a magical ring that she had on her person, and will see about getting its purpose identified when we reach the capital," Fuu shows him the ring so he can describe it to Toshi.

[Carthrat]

Taishi nods. "I'll make sure to repeat that, word for word, Fuu-san," he replies.

The two quickly reach the base camp, which has now been Packed Up.

Waiting avails Umi of nothing. Apart from a few shouts from within the camp, there dosn't seem to be any activity.

[Corwin]

Frowning once more and hoping that Koshi escaped by some other route, Umi stealthily makes her way back to their own camp.

[Halbarad]

Upon seeing Fuu arrive with Taishi, Hikaru rushes over to give the taller girl a hug. "I'm so glad you're safe! I was worried when I heard the shouting. I couldn't do much else after I set those trees on fire, so I came back here and started breaking down the camp-we're going to have to get moving fast, I think."
