Carth's magical adventure, ROUND TWO, MOTHERFUCKERS!

[Anastasia]

"Diego," he tries to grin, but winces instead. "Yeah, just Diego. How about you and the lady? You two got names?" he asks as you go on back to the hotel.

[Carthrat]

"Hah. Call me 'Rat. This is Rach," says Carthrat, seeing no reason to hide their names.

[Anastasia]

"Good to meetcha," he says, getting out that smile on the second try. "Likewise," Rachel nods.

[Carthrat]

"Now that we're formally introduced, you can tell me if you know any particular reason you were attacked," says Carthrat.

[Anastasia]

"Heh, well...Ikindastolehisgirlfriend," he gets out at once, looking a bit guilty.

[Carthrat]

Carthrat pauses. "Oh. Well, I suppose he shouldn't have beaten you up like that," he says, shrugging. White Glow had never lead him astray before..

[Anastasia]

"Yeah...He said he'd gib me, but I didn't think he was for real," he shrugs. "He'd fucked me up pretty bad last thing I remember."

[Carthrat]

Carthrat shrugs. "Well, you're all good now," he replies.

[Anastasia]

"Yeah, thanks to the lady," he smiles gratefully at Rachel. "And thanks for savin' my ass, 'Rat."

[Carthrat]

"Naw, it's all good.

Say, you wouldn't conveniantly have a ship we could use?" says 'Rat, not ashamed in the slightest.

[Anastasia]

The man laughs freely, tilting his head back. "Man, that's crazy. If I had a ship, I sure as hell wouldn't be in this ass fuck of a colony."

You're just getting to the hotel now, by the way.

[Carthrat]

Carthrat shrugs. "If you have the right equipment and software, you can make a heckuvalot of money by fleecing these places," he replies, reaching his room and opening the door..

[Anastasia]

"Yeah, I guess. But the man in charge here has been stompin' his boots on cheaters ever since this place got goin'. You see those 'bots 'round the casino? You gotta fool them if ya gonna get anywhere, and they don't fool easy." he looks around the room, nodding to himself. "Not up on the money, eh?"

[Carthrat]

"Electronic-Neural scramblers," replies Carthrat, shrugging. "You need a high-frequency transmitting device, and something that makes a sound that's beyond the scope of human hearing. They fry the A.I. circuits within the 'bots while leaving humans completely uninjured. Then it's a piece of cake, I havn't seen any human guards. This must be a solo op."

[Anastasia]

Diego plops down on the couch, stretching his arms out gingerly. "Yeah, the dude who runs this is some high up who scammed enough out of his post to retire and go to work on his own. You know those Irreilis, right? He's oneuva 'em."
