"Is it really wise to rush in where devils fear to tread?" The old man queried.

Dracos
Well, Goodbye.

Shukuen

"Maybe if we had other options," Leets shrugged. "But it's not as if we have a magical map of where all the starstones are."

Olvelsper

"Well, we aren't going to be getting anywhere like this. We have the bat backing us up, if we strike decisively we can get it." Jan began making a point of not calling out starstones and anything about Pandora's box by name.

Taking a moment, he began to jot down this on a note and began passing it around.

Clyde takes the note from Jan once it's completed and nods. "I think our best course of action would be to try to get a bit more detail about what's happening here, then plan accordingly. Once we understand the situation a bit better, we'll be far better prepared to plan with events in mind."
I am a terrible person.
Excellent Youkai.

Olvelsper

"I agree, Clyde." Jan continued by turning to look at Leets. "The person you talked to was a close friend of the family you're working for? Or was it someone in the family?"

"Never really brought it up, actually," Leets admitted, though it did bring up an uncomfortable possibility. "As for who, it's Greg, the Gatekeeper."

Dracos

"Magic maps?" The old man responded senilely, pulling something from his bag and reading through it.  "Knocks, boxes... I'm certain I had something for magic maps.  Always made the little ones smile."

Dracos
Well, Goodbye.

Olvelsper

"Alright. That'll be pretty risky. That guy's livelyhood is announcing declarations at the top of his voice, so I don't think us wanting to know about you know who will stay secret for long. I recommend a tactical retreat for now, *but* I think it's about time we start using our own group's resources better." Jan rubbed at his nose slightly as he gave into what he wanted to say for long.

"Magic us something up, old codger, or medieval chick. You two know magic, and it's supposed to do lots of stuff. Get us the stones locations on this map, please."

"let's see..." The old man nodded, reading over a few spells out loud.  "Fireball, that's a good one, no...  I don't suppose wail of the banshee would be appreciated here...what did I do with magic...oh yeah."  He started speaking in gibberish, the map glowing a bit...  and suddenly feeling a bit sticky for some reason, a few areas on it lit up.  New Reno, obviously, was at the center of one of them.  A large glow was around the other side of the desert to the west.  Another somewhere in the mist area.  A spot far to the east glowed as well.  there was the slightest hint of a glow on the north east corner of the map.  Could be something, could not.

"See, neat parlor trick.  Makes the kids smile." The old man nodded a bit.

Dracos
Well, Goodbye.

Olvelsper

"Hey, bat. Are you sure you don't have the ability to feel any of those stones? Maybe you could track 'em by scent?" Jan refrained from offering Yomi a Scooby Snack.

"Well, I don't know if it is the stones...but I do sense something nearby and when the old geezer cut loose.  If you're right and there is a stone in the city, that's probably it.  Maybe if I'm close enough to them, I'll be able to sense we're nearby." Yomi responded.

Dracos
Well, Goodbye.

Olvelsper

"Well, for all the good it does us. How close is close? Can we boost that ability of yours? If we went to one of these other points while things cool down here, and found it nothing was there, it'd just be a wasted trip."

Dracos

"Well...how big is this city?  I've been kind of feeling it since we entered."

Dracos
Well, Goodbye.

Olvelsper

"Pretty big, a few miles. Guess you can't sense those stones any further than that, huh."

OOC: Ryder absconed for use.  shock.
IC:
"Well, I could possibly head out with yomi and check one of these spots out...but it'd take a while."  Ryder commented, adding his two cents.

Dracos
Well, Goodbye.
