Bean Bandit

"Obviously." Bean gritted her teeth.

"So how did you get here without any idea of where here is?" she retorted. "Fall from the sky?"

Shukuen

"There was only that one time," Shukuen sweatdropped slightly. "Though, I was being attacked."

Bean Bandit

Bean wanted to burst out laughing...or hit him. Or something.

"Fine, fine...Where are you trying to go?" she asked finally.

Shukuen

"Uhm..." Shukuen scratched his head, deep in thought. "... ... ... I think it was Kyoto." He blinked, some things coming into clarity. "Oh yeah, I'm suppose to meet some people in Kyoto."

Bean Bandit

Bean stiffened, and her eyes narrowed. "Who exactly are you meeting?" Oh kami...don't let him be a new member of the Juppongatana...

Her hand closed on Yahiko's shoulder nervously.

Shukuen

Shukuen shrugged indifferently. "Don't know. Apparently, I'm suppose to meet a group there in time for some fight."

Bean Bandit

Bean had warmed up some, despite her damp clothes, but this made her start shivering again. She shoved down her nervousness, but stayed ready to run. It may not have even been Shishio. Just calm down and find out more before you start to panic.

"So...who managed to hire you away from wandering with your traveling companions?"

Shukuen

Shukuen blinked. "Travelling companions...? Oh, you mean them."

He shrugged: "Not sure myself. And no one hired me. As far as I know, 'Tis Fate."

Bean Bandit

"Fate?"

Well, at least it wasn't a man in bandages, or a grinning young boy...Maybe...

"Well, we're headed to Kyoto...You're welcome to join us..."

And strangely...she found she had no problem with that, despite the nagging thought that maybe she should be more suspicious...

Yahiko's eyes widened at Kaoru's offer. He grabbed her shoulder tightly and whispered into her ear,

"He just blew up the boat! Kaoru, how can you just trust him like that? And look at his FACE! He's like... like... a youkai or something like the have north of Tokyo!"
[19:14] <Annerose> Aww, mouth not outpacing brain after all?
[19:14] <Candide> My brain caught up

Bean Bandit

Bean winced slightly, and blushed. "Yahiko, he didn't blow up the boat, remember?" she said soothingly. "And I saw his face. But if he was going to kill us, he would have done it by now."

Though, I'm not going to say how I know that...

Carthrat

Yahiko stared at Kaoru like she was an idiot.

"Maybe he just wants to do it where nobody can see him!" he whispered urgently.
[19:14] <Annerose> Aww, mouth not outpacing brain after all?
[19:14] <Candide> My brain caught up

Bean Bandit

Bean fidgeted. Maybe Yahiko was right? No, wait. You can't go around suspicious of everyone, at least until they give you a reason to be, right?

"Yahiko...what would he have against us? We just met him. Besides that, if he really was a Youkai, would he care about where he killed us?"

Yahiko snorted, and crossed his arms.

"Fine. But if anything goes wrong, it's your fault."

[19:14] <Candide> My brain caught up

Bean Bandit

Bean bit her lip to stifle the urge to laugh.

"Okay." She agreed. "But it's fine, right? I have my first apprentice to protect me..."
