A Faraway Victory

[Anastasia]

This stirs a story from your minds. You recall a vague story, something about Chourst once riding a Tarrasque. He didn't like the ride, so he made it like an ooze so it jiggled and was soft to sit on. Then he added lots and lots of pretty red gems tnat blast raw chaos-stuff at anything nearby, devastating them.

Meanwhile missiles fly as Syala turns, "Fantastic," she drawls, smiling despite it. "Alicia, do you want the slaad or the tarrasque? I think I'm going to go up and see what's in that meteor!"

"Take Marie then," Alicia suggests. "Antenora and I will handle the tarrasque."

The slimy tarrasque. Sigh.

Syala will hold for Marie's turn. Alicia.

Alicia moves towards that buckling wall and helps it along, a beam of silver fire coring through and lancing into the slimy horror on the other side!

The wall is now gone. Outside of it is a massive thing of blue-green jelly, a vast beast you know well. A tarrasque roars, and standing atop it is a bent, twisted toad-thing with a shock of white hair, appearing just as the wall goes down after your blast of silver fire. You sense it immediately, for an aspect of Chourst is now visible to you.

Malcanthet promised me her sublime LOVE! LET'S PLAY! Love tastes good, right? Renbuu won't let me taste his rainbows. So I'm so hungry.

"Hey, we don't have to go to the meteorite after all!" Marie says, sounding pretty cheered by that. Splitting the party didn't sound very sensible to her.

"She said I'd bleed, I didn't think it would be from my eardrums," Alicia says wearily. Lets play indeed, Chourst.

[Anastasia]

The floor beneath the party is torn apart, gone - which does little when you all fly. Below is a swarm of slaad, erupting out over all of you, clawing and stampeding. It's a slaad rush!

Yet the party holds them at bay - Alicia dodging up, Marie uttering a word of force that propels them back while Antenora darts aside and Syala glares at them, checking them cold.

The blob tarrasque roars, a thousand points of red over its blobby body lightning up, before blasts and bursts of pure chaos-stuff engulfs the party.

Reflex saves, all. Chaotics don't have to save, so Marie and Syala are off the hook here. Alicia also can't fail the save so only Antenora needs to save.

"I really need to get better at the barrage," Marie grumbles at seeing so many slaad still hanging around to cause trouble even after firing two of them off. Three if any of these were around for the one she popped at the start of the battle.

Still, her fearful gaze might give them something to think about!

Gaze attacks don't take an action to use, just most stuff today hasn't been worth mentioning it. DC 37 will or panicked for 2d10 rounds for slaad within 60 feet of her face.

Alicia's titanic body barely even notices the slaad scrambling around her, intent instead on Chourst and his mount. "Stand fast Antenora, we have the advantage here."

Slaad recoil from Marie, pointing and screaming, "ORANGES! CRYSTAL CASTLES! BLACK CATS!" They turn and flee from her as Antenora responds. 'We do.' She agrees, 'Be strong yourself,' A hint of warmth and comfort, 'No matter how trying this slaad lord is.'

Antenora will hold briefly, in case Marie does something that lets her charge without getting AoOed by a tarrasque. She'd rather avoid that, y'know?

As if reading Antenora's mind, Marie hops over scrambling slaad and touches her to render her completely invisible from all but the keenest of senses now that there isn't an artifact floating around to enhance them!

Superior invis. Tarrasque is probably got high enough perception to identify her square but it'll still protect her from AoOs.

She follows up by sending a barrage of magic missiles splashing over the tarrasque and slaad lord both!

Antenora bounces back wildly, flopping end over end in the air, ending up 60ft back and righting herself. The tarrasque jiggles and bounces all over from it, resonating through it as Chourst laughs and dances atop it.

Posting to confirm my awareness of Syala's impending turn and making sure this doesn't get held up for a reply that isn't otherwise coming.

Amid the chaos slaad erupt out, leaping up to try and get you. Syala casually clubs a red slaad away, shattering its head like an egg. Her focus is on Chourst's aspect and the gooey tarrasque before you.

"You really think Malcanthet is going to give you anything worthwhile?" she challenges, "Idiot!"  With a flip of her hair back, Syala generates another pair of tsunamis, one that appears on its flank, crashing into the tarrasque and Chourst. "You have a treasure of great value and you're frittering it away on your ENTERTAINMENT?!"
