Using Obscuring Mist. Not sure how racial powers figure CL for duration, but I'm guess it's Racial levels, so 8 minute duration if so.

A surge of adrenaline hits you and you juke to the side, pulling off hands that only try and keep you still. The chains are dodged, the bloated nightmare completely focused on the chains, unmoving.

To the side, you see another vat appearing next to the last brain, rising up out of the ground. It's currently empty.
