Meanwhile above, Moore can see it all. The ship Jaela plunged through begins to floor and sink. Sylvie flies above another ship, a blast of fire exploding amid it and setting it ablaze. Mirajane opts for much the same, a flame strike hitting the center of her target and setting that one on fire, too.

Make a quick Listen check, Moore.

Anastasia

You hear a rustle right behind you.

In the meantime, Jaela...

Make an Intimidate check there, Jaela. +10 bonus since you're pretty fucking intimidating like that.

Nice try, assassin dude!

Wait, there isn't an assassin anymore.

Crap!! Moore turns invisible just to be on the safe side! He's going to try and swing around to see whatever's there while getting out of the way!

Turning invisible via free action, then he's going to try and go forward 20 ft and turn around to see what it was.

Collaborators cry out in terror and even the devils on board step back, fearful and surprised. For a moment no one on the ship is doing anything, if you want to take advantage of it.

Moore turns around and sees...nothing?

Jaela gestures at yet another ship, and the already divine fire of the Flame Strike is boosted by goldenfire, just as her daughter's is!

"Those who resist will burn away to ashes!" she announces, feeling that the threat will be scarier once the collaborators see the notoriously immune devils acquire some unpleasant burns....

Anastasia

There's no magic around at all. Maybe it was just your nerves or imagination?

As Moore grapples with that, the forces of the sinking ship begin to surrender. A collaborator, another and another...and then devils follow, throwing down weapons.

No -- there's absolutely no way. Moore will start to fly up towards the ship Jaela's on, either way. Safety in numbers and all that.

Corwin

Jaela observes the other ships, glaring at the crew of each one as she waits for the others to rejoin her. If the spirit of the defenders is completely crushed, they can let their own troops secure the port section.

Sylvie's ship is on fire, devils and collaborators diving into the water as it sinks. Mirajane's is in much the same state and its spreading, the ship knocked into others as flames spread. Meanwhile Moore catches up to Jaela safely.

'Easy enough. They're not focusing on the ships that much,' Sylvie says, 'I think they realize this isn't a war won or lost over a river.'

'The more absolute our victory here, the easier it would be for the troops on all subsequent fronts,' Jaela reasons, before sending to Tepen, 'I could do with an update. Are things clear at Elons Rapid? Any trouble spots with the assault on Liber I didn't get reported from the Siege leaders?'

Any ship that doesn't show signs of immediate surrender gets treated to bombardment by goldenfire-enhanced Flame Strike. Jaela had called upon the fiends and their minions to surrender twice already, and there wouldn't be a third time.

'Things are going well, with the sole exception of Elons Rapids sewers. There are tentative reports of a possible dragon there,' Tepen replies. 'More details as they develop.'

The one good thing is that between the three of you, you're setting ships ablaze. The enemy seems content to retreat or fall back here, most of the ships unmanned by the time you reach them, devils melting into the city along with their collaborators. By the time you're done Sylvie catches up to you, frowning all the while, "They're just giving up the ships entirely?"

"If you can't hold the world, you won't need the ships. I just didn't want their weapons or maneuverability used against our own," Jaela responds.

Of Tepen, she asks, 'How long would it take to travel to our third objective from here?'
