"Fenrir, Garm, you two go with Hanna and Simmer, keep them safe," Afina orders, delegating her mighty sylvan hunting hounds to the job of reinforcing the smaller group.

It is strangely silent now. No more cries of torture or the din of battle. It is only a slow, simmering silence as you hold your position. 27 stays close to you, eyes sweeping around.

If you wanna do anything feasible while holding position, do so, Jaela. Otherwise I'll move you along as reasonable.

"Would it help or hurt if I arranged for a fresh fire for the devils to put out nearby?" Jaela asks 27, also deciding to bolster her spellcasting ability while she's at it.

"They're coming, in a way you can't stop," 27 warns. "It doesn't matter, be ready instead."

27 slowly looks around, "You're the one who can win as the rearguard."

"I figured as much, but I can hold for quite a while," Jaela responds. "More specifically, do we use this chance and have Mountainous Fire destroy Ettan's Camps? I figure twenty minutes, half an hour tops, and he could reach them. The devils shouldn't have anyone that can stop someone as awesome as him, not while dealing with our allies and with us at the same time."

And since it appears time is extremely limited, Jaela decides to have a snack after using Prestidigitation to clean herself up.

"Send him," 27 suggests, "There is little benefit to keeping him here, this battle will not concern him."

A bunch of heals that don't concern me and a +1 CL that does!

"It's like you heard, Mountainous Fire," Jaela addresses her ally. "Some twenty minutes of brisk walking or jogging that-a-way is a camp where these shitty devils are training more losers like those the defended this place. Ettan's defiling a Lifasan city and I need you to burn everything and everyone there to the ground. You can leave home afterwards, no need to return here."

The elemental goes to do so, feet burning the ground as he hurries off. "Be ready, you have a little more time yet."
