It's coming from overhead, above. Somehow got lost in editing. So it wouldn't pass the golem anyway.

The dragons are Sarmandilus and Sarmandilsar, mated black dragons known for cooperating with various infernal and abyssal powers. Powerful enough and noted for a ruthless streak and an utter lack of anything resembling morals. They aren't the biggest planar players, but they're known and respectable names. They also only do things for coin and profit, loyal only so long as treasure fills their hoard.

First of all, do Marie's missiles overcome shield or similar spells? I forget if her build has something about that.

Yes, they ignore shield.

Stuff like spell immunity: magic missile or globe of invulnerability will still stop them but I didn't see any of those when spellcrafting. (this is why she'll want to do that every fight to make sure she's in the clear for her gimmick really)

Missiles pepper everyone - save for the statue, who simply ignores them harmlessly. The hit good and hard otherwise, entangling blasts of energy surrounding them. The dragons growl at this as Jade hisses, "Oh, you little bitch," she says, voice a breathy rhapsody that lures at you, "You'll pay for that, turning your nose up at my friendship and hospitality!"

"Too bad," Syala says, "You'll just have to get beaten here instead." At the same time the mage armor around the dragon detonates into a blast of force, ripping apart, rocking both of them even more.

Syala snaps her fingers, a great, towering treant appearing before Jade. IT rears back and swings, right at her body with a giant branch.

Jade rises as magic restores her body in part. A flash from one of her rings, wounds partially mending. Her face is still wrecked, nose pouring blood and jaw hanging at a bad angle. She glares death as she gets to her feet, gesturing a green sphere appears in the air above her.
