Devon easily removed the bloody blade from the wolf.  He then went in search of his other blade in the calf-high grass, not finding it in the first five minutes of searching.

Frowning, Devon mentally reviewed the opening of the fight.

Walking over to the position he was in when he threw the knives, he walked along the path of the throw, searching for the weapon.

After about a minute of searching, Devon happily retrieved his knife.

Figment

Slipping the knives back into their sheaths, Devon moved back to the rest of the group.

O'karn grunted, withdrawing his blade and nodding approvingly at the other kill by the strange newcomer.  At least that man was capable.  O'karn took a moment to clean the filth off his blade.  A cowardly fools blood like that wasn't worthy of even resting a moment on his blade.  Taking a brief moment afterwards, he turned his eyes skyward, giving thanks for the bounty to the dark god Syfier.  Lifting one of the wolves on his shoulder for later dinner, O'karn turned and appraised his comrades, his red streaked black eyes glaring fearsomely.  "I hope that the rest of you scrawny humans aren't as incompetent as that fool."  Glancing over at Devon who'd managed to recover while he was cleaning his blade, O'karn nodded.  Some at least weren't totally useless.

Turning towards the human mage who'd called him here he grunted distastefully, addressing him in his gutteral common, "Human mage, why did you include such a worthless sack of flesh and bones among those you brought to defeat this Zaphiel?  Why a single troop of my ogres would be more useful than the lot of these.  The will of the god Syfier would certainly smile upon such a campaign rather than frown upon the inclusion of such bags of bone.  Even though the high shaman of the Symook looked favorably upon this conquest, to start upon such fell omens..."

Well, Goodbye.

Arkanel looked a little startled at the accusation thrown at him from the imposing O'karn.

"As to him," he pointed at the corpse, "I could only take the words of those I spoke with.  A test of skill was not available.  The gods must have led my eyes astray when I found him, and not one of your clansmen.  But, you were more than welcome to bring some of you brethren with you.  I could have happily accommodated a few more of your tribe.  Why did you not ask for them to be included," He looked sternly at the Ogre while he tightened the grip upon his staff tightened as he stood his ground

Dracos

"Bah, useless.  Well, human mage, if you have such power to open a gateway for my clansmen, do so.  If not, then let us continue to the mountains.  I am tired of standing on such weak earth surrounded by such green.  I have no desire to be out in the open here come nightfall."

Fearless Leader
Well, Goodbye.

Arkanel snorted, but turned and walked towards the mountains.

Figment

Seeing Arkanel walking off, Devon did a quick search of Drall's body, taking any pouches, bags, backpack, and anything else he could identify as useful.

Doing a quick search, Devon found:

- A black lip ring
- A pouch on his belt that contains 4 vials(2 contain a dark blue liquid, and 2 that contain a crimson liquid), 50 gold pieces, and a flint and steel.
- On a broken belt formerly strapped across his chest, which was covered with blood and gore, he found 8 silver knives of varying sizes(5 were still usable)
- Two waterskins
- A long stiletto blade in each boot
- A short sword laid close to the body
- A sheath for the sword was still attached to the body
- light chain mail, with a gaping hole in the center
- a black cloak, soiled, but in one piece
- a small pouch of gems(3 diamonds, 2 rubies)

Showing not a bit a indication that he might of been at fault for not demanding ahead of time the mage bringing his clansmen, O'karn glanced over the others before leading the way, barely noticing the small knife wielder examining the cowards corpse, his massive footsteps following Arkanel's path.

Fearless Leader
Well, Goodbye.

Figment

Grabbing the pouches and waterskins, Devon tucked them into a side pocket on his backpack and followed after Arkanel and O'karn, quickening his pace to draw even with the ogre.

kpjam

Arkanel led the four saviours in his group further towards the mountains.

OOC:  I'm assuming Areal and miaka are following.  If there's something either of you wanted done at the fight site, talk to me before you post.  I'll assume it happened while O'karn and Arkanel were fighting.  The only exception is Drall's body is off limits until after Devon leaves it.

As they approached the mountains, O'karn shifted the wolf on his shoulder, smiling toothily behind his mask.  "Ah, now this is a proper place for living.  Nice hard stone, towering peaks demanding the strength and showing the way of the world."  Looking up at the path ahead, he wasn't intimidated in the least by the towering peaks before them, instead finding them comforting.

Fearless Leader
Well, Goodbye.

Priss

Nirae snarled, bringing her saber up in a neat thrust, designed to impale the wolf through the chest upon the silver blade, in one smooth motion.

Hardly even taking the time to blink, she allowed her saber to fall from her hands, already moving to draw her mace and hawk from her belts, prepared for the next rush.  Her hazel eyes darting about trying to find her next target.

After all, she may be a Famous Pirate Captain now, but at one time she was still a young woman growing up in the forest and plains of Angreshem.  She knew wolves.  To be more precise she HATED wolves with a passion, a trait picked up through much studying of the animal in its natural habit, much like the other beasts which lived around her home as she grew.

And one thing she KNEW was that wolves NEVER would attack a two-legger by themselves without backup.
