Ebiris

As the monks flee beyond her range, Fuu follows Umi's orders, heading over to Master Jyoshi and spontaneously casting Cure Moderate Wounds on the older elf, sacrificing the Sound Burst spell she had prepared.

Hearing Umi calling for her and Hikaru, Fuu doesn't stick around long, quickly running in the direction the yells came from.

Halbarad

Hikaru stands by Fuu as she assists the injured Master Jyoshi, but as she hears Umi's cry she darts away to help as quickly as she can.

Excellent Youkai.

Umi's slash cuts open a deep trail of blood across the monks arm, handily disrupting his spell in the process.

Hikaru and Fuu arrive to see that Umi looks much like Master Jyoshin just did; severly roughed up, with several bruises and some shuriken stuck in her chest.

The monk glances over at the newcomers, and an angry growl rushes from his mouth.

He rushes off before anyone can react, dissapearing behind a building..

Corwin

"It was the same one," Umi says, breathing heavily. "The same monk that attacked your group, Hikaru."

Ebiris

Fuu briefly considers pursuing the monk, but seeing Umi's state puts paid to that idea. Rushing over to her friend, she spontaneously casts Cure Moderate Wounds, sacrificng her prepared Wind Wall spell. "He looks to be a formidable opponent," she says worriedly after healing the blue haired elfmaid.

Carthrat

A wash of healing energy spills over Umi, healing her wounds somewhat. She's still battered and bruised to a fair extent, but she'll be ok.

OOC: 11 HP healed, for reference.

"You shouldn't have tried to fight him by yourself, Umi-chan. You're lucky you weren't hurt any worse than that-call us to help next time!"

Hikaru glances over in the direction the monk ran off. "I wonder who he is, though, to have gotten here so fast."

"I wasn't alone," Umi says, shaking her head sadly. "Not at first. He killed the two bushi before I could do anything, and then, well, I was just too angry to think." She takes the shuriken out of her armor one by one, wincing each time. "I just hope I gave him as good as I got."

Recalling Fuu's question, she nods at the brunette. "All that and more. He seemed to be a caster as well, in addition to his skills in hand-to-hand."

Ebiris

Fuu nods, "We should be careful, there are still a number of Doji monks within the town, and I suspect we haven't seen the last of our friend. We have to drive off the remaining monks, but I think it would be best to stay together." Taking in Umi's still rather bedraggled condition, the fair haired elf looks concerned, "Do you need me to cast another healing spell on you before we continue?"

Corwin

"I'm good to go," Umi replies. "Hell, he only got this close because I got careless and tried to capture him, first." Looking at her two friends, she says, "Between us three, though, we should be able to subdue any Doji monk, so that Master Jyoshi will interrogate him afterwards."

Ebiris

"Yes," Fuu agrees, stowing her Daikyu and looking/listening to find out where the action is, now.

Halbarad

Hikaru has a sad expression. "I wish I could heal you the way Fuu-chan does, but hopefully this will help if we run into any other monks." She places a hand on Umi's shoulder, casting Cat's Grace as she does so.

Excellent Youkai.

Corwin

Umi thanks Hikaru, smiling, and then joins Fuu in trying to locate any ongoing fights in the area.

It's not hard to find a fight in the villiages present state; the trio soon located a pair of Doji monks looming over a young elfgirl and a pair of even younger apparent siblings of hers. Their father is lying in front of them, blood trickling from his face. He looks quite dead.

The children are right outside a burning building; it looks as if the monks are trying to force them inside.

Corwin

Umi breaks into a run, charging at the monks and trying to get between them and the young elves, if possible.
